欧州料理店のワインセラー。
35年前につくられた店舗であるが、オーナーの感性でつくられた店内は、竣工当時からハイカラな空間を漂わせている。現在でもほとんど手が加えられず当時のままの姿をとどめ、とても美しく古びているように感じられた。
この空間の雰囲気を保ちつつも現代の感性を持ち込むため、新たに挿入されるセラーにもこの店舗やワインと同様に美しく古びていく素材であるべきだと考えた。
時を重ねてきた空間に違和感なく溶け込みながらも存在感を持ち次世代にも継承できるように、均一ではなくムラのあるテクスチャーを持ち、耐久性があり、美しく古びていくであろう素材としてスチールを選択し、既存壁にスチールの壁を取り付かせる。
部分的な改装でありシンプルな方法だが、親から子供へ、過去から現代へと継承させる店のシンボルとなるようなものを目指した。

Wine cellar in European style restaurant
The inside of the restaurant was created by the owner had been had stylish atmosphere since the restaurant was built at 35 years ago. The restaurant had been rarely renovated so that it was beautifully old like when it was built.
The material of new wine cellar must be the staff would be getting beautifully old like this restaurant and wines to keep the atmosphere and add the current sensibility.
Steel wall was chosen because it had nonuniformity texture, it was durable, and it would be getting beautifully old. So it fit the current wall to naturally mix to the space experienced, appeal existence, and inherit to the next generation.
This renovation was simple and partial but it meant to be a restaurant’s symbol about from the father to the son and from the past to the future.
